MOUNT KENYA PACKAGE-1 ITINERARY
Day 1
Depart Nairobi at 0800 HRS and drive to Mt Kenya area through Nanyuki town. Pick up the porters and guides; proceed to Sirimon gate north west of the mountain. Picnic lunch enroute and make the three hour walk to Old Moses hut 3300M above sea level for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Early morning breakfast and then a 6-7 hour walk to Shipton‟s camp, 4200M above sea level. Experience a scenic view of the Nelion and Batian peaks through Mackinder‟s valley. Lunch served enroute followed by a short rest at the Shipton‟s camp followed by dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 3
A Predawn attempt on point Lenana at 4985M above sea level is the highlight for the day. Breakfast will be served after the attempt and then directly descend to the gate for transfer back to Nairobi.
