MOUNT KENYA PACKAGE-4 ITINERARY
Day 1
Depart from Nairobi at 8.30 HRS for the drive to Mt Kenya via Nanyuki town. Pick guides and porters and proceed to Sirimon gate north west of the mountain. Picnic lunch provided followed by a 3 hour walk to Old Moses hut 3300M above sea level for diner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Early morning breakfast followed by a 6-7 hours walk to Shipton‟s camp 4200 M above sea level to arrive by early afternoon with picnic lunch served enroute. Rest followed by dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 3
Early breakfast followed by a day‟s walk around the valleys and enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountain and then back to the camp. Lunch served during the walk. Dinner served at the Shipton‟s hut where we spend the night.
Day 4
A Predawn attempt on point Lenana 4985 M above sea level is the highlight for today. Breakfast served enroute. After the attempt, descend to old Moses camp for overnight stay with lunch served enroute. This will be a 5-6 hour excursion. Dinner served at the camp.
Day 5
Descend to road head (3hours) after breakfast. Lunch served at The road head and then transfer back to Nairobi.
