PACKAGE 7: SUMMIT VIA SIRIMON ROUTE

MOUNT KENYA PACKAGE-7 ITINERARY
Day 1
Depart Nairobi at 0830 HRS and drive to Mt Kenya via Nanyuki. Pick your guide and potters and proceed to Sirimon gate to the north west of the mountain. Picnic lunch served enroute before a 3hour walk to old Moses for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Early morning breakfast and then 6-7 hours walk to Shipton‟s camp while enjoying the scenic view of Peaks Batian and Nelion through Mackinder‟s valley arriving at Shipton‟s camp (4200 M) in the early afternoon for a short rest followed by dinner and overnight. Lunch served enroute.
Day 3
After breakfast spend the day walking around the valley and extend another night at Shipton‟s hut.
Day 4
Predawn attempt on point Lenana (4985M) and then descend leisurely to old Moses camp for overnight. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided.
Day 5
Descend to road head for your transfer vehicle back to Nairobi. Breakfast and lunch provided.
